Your first Sunday

What actually happens

Walking into a church you do not know is uncomfortable. Here is the whole thing in advance so nothing surprises you.

Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.Romans 15:7

Arriving

Someone will meet you at the door and ask your name, not your history. Parking is on site and free.

What to wear

Whatever you own. Some people arrive in suits, some in jeans. Nobody is checking.

The children

Check in at the desk on your right twenty minutes before the service. You get a matching tag and you are the only person who can collect them.

The music

Around thirty minutes of singing. Stand, sit, sing or stay quiet. All of it is acceptable.

The teaching

Forty to fifty minutes, working through a book of the Bible. Bring a Bible or use the one in the seat.

The offering

A basket passes. Visitors are asked not to give. You are our guest.

Afterwards

Tea in the foyer. If you want to disappear quietly, that is fine too, and nobody will chase you down the road.

If you need prayer

A prayer team stays at the front after each service. No queue, no microphone, no audience.

Get in touch

Tell us you are coming

Fill this in and somebody will meet you at the door on Sunday, show you where the kids go, and sit with you if you would rather not sit alone.

You can also use this form to ask for prayer, to ask a question about faith, or to ask something awkward about the church. All three are read by a real person.

This form is a demonstration. It does not send anything anywhere and no data leaves your browser. A working form will be connected before launch.

Honest answers

The questions people actually ask

No. We do not ask visitors to stand, raise a hand, wear a badge or fill in a card at the door. If you want to be found, come and say hello afterwards. If you want to slip out, that is completely fine.

Visitors are specifically asked not to give. Giving is for the family of the church, and it is never a condition of belonging, ministry or prayer here.

The first service runs about two hours. The second runs closer to two and a half, with tea afterwards. If you need to leave early, leave. Nobody will be offended.

Children aged 3 to 12 check in at the desk twenty minutes before the service. You receive a tag that matches theirs, and only you can collect them. Every volunteer is screened and trained, and no adult is ever alone with a child in a closed room. Babies and toddlers stay with you, and there is a quiet room with the service on a screen if you need it.

The second service is preached in English with live French interpretation, and there is a French language small group during the week. Ask at the welcome desk for a headset.

Yes, and you will not be ambushed. Come, listen, disagree, ask hard questions afterwards. Plenty of people in this church spent a long time watching from the back before anything changed.

There is step free access at the main entrance, reserved seating near the front and back, and an accessible toilet. Tell us on the form and someone will meet you in the car park.
