The four movements of the house
Gather, grow, serve, send
Every ministry in this church belongs to one of four movements. If a new idea does not fit one of them, we do not start it.
Worship and Music
Singers, instrumentalists, sound and media. The team exists to help the room see Christ, which means it works hard at excellence and refuses to perform. Auditions are open twice a year, and every member sits under the same teaching as everyone else.
Watchmen, the prayer altar
The oldest ministry in the house and the reason the rest exist. Friday nights are corporate prayer for the city, the nations, the sick and the leadership. No entry requirements and no microphone hierarchy.
Welcome and Hospitality
The first face a visitor sees. This team learns names, walks people to the kids desk, finds seats for latecomers, and makes sure nobody eats alone after the second service.
Small Groups
Fourteen groups across the city, meeting in homes through the week. This is where the sermon gets tested against real life, where people are actually known, and where most of the pastoral care in this church happens.
Father’s House Kids
Ages 3 to 12, running in parallel with both Sunday services. Real Bible teaching at their level, a screened and trained volunteer team, a signed check in and check out system, and a strict two adult rule in every room.
Rooted Youth
Teenagers and students. Saturday afternoons, with games that are actually fun and teaching that does not talk down to them. Mentoring pairs, exam season support, and an annual camp.
Midweek Word
Wednesday evening Bible study, working steadily through one book at a time. Bring a notebook and a question. This is the class where disagreement is allowed and encouraged.
Outreach and Mercy
Food support, school fees, hospital visits, funeral help and practical assistance for neighbours in trouble, whether or not they attend this church. A standing monthly budget, approved by the eldership and reported to the congregation.
Marriage and Family Counselling
Pre marriage preparation, marriage repair, parenting support and grief care. Confidential, unpaid, and offered to people outside the church as readily as to members.
Men and Women of the House
Two fellowships, meeting monthly. Practical discipleship, honest accountability, and a lot of shared work: repairs for widows, transport for the elderly, meals for new mothers.
Nations Desk
Support for workers in the field, translation of teaching material into French, and the two church plants currently in preparation. Quarterly briefings so the congregation knows exactly where its missions giving goes.
La Maison du Pere, the French congregation
Live interpretation in the second service, a French language small group, and pastoral care in French for families still settling into the city.
Leaders in Training
A two year track for members who sense a call to ministry. Bible handling, character, finance, safeguarding and public speaking, taught by the eldership and assessed honestly.

Serving
How a person joins a team

Come and stay a while
We ask people to attend for three months before serving, so that serving grows out of belonging rather than replacing it.

Sit the membership class
Four sessions covering what this church believes, how it is governed, and what it will and will not ask of you.

Be screened and trained
Anyone working with children or handling money is screened and trained. This is not personal. It protects everybody.

Start small, serve long
Every leader in this house started by carrying something. Faithfulness in the small job is the only qualification we track.
